Haji M. Shahul Hameed entered the marine products industry in the 1980s, before international certification frameworks like GMP+ or ISO 22000 existed. He built his understanding of fish meal production the way knowledge is built in manufacturing — by making decisions, watching outcomes, and adjusting. By the time he incorporated Hameed Marine Private Limited on 9 January 2014, he had four decades of that process behind him.
His M.Com qualification gave him the commercial framework — cost structure, export documentation, buyer negotiation — that sits alongside his technical expertise. Today he is directly involved in quality oversight, supplier relationships, and technical discussions with buyers. When an international procurement team has a question about a Certificate of Analysis or a specification parameter, it reaches a person who has spent forty years understanding exactly why that parameter matters.

Azif M joined Hameed Marine as Director, bringing a focus on international business development and export operations. He works directly with buyers across Southeast Asia and the Middle East on commercial terms, documentation requirements, and supply chain coordination.
His role spans export logistics from V.O. Chidambaranar Port in Tuticorin, buyer communication and sample management, and the commercial side of the certification compliance process that international buyers require before adding a new supplier to their approved list.
