Fish soluble paste is the concentrated stickwater fraction separated during pressing. It contains free amino acids, short-chain peptides, high concentrations of vitamin B12, nucleotides, phospholipids, and the bioactive compounds documented since the 1940s as Unidentified Growth Factors (UGF).
Animals fed fish solubles consistently achieve growth rates beyond what their analysed nutrient composition predicts. The practical benefit for buyers using it in shrimp feeds, poultry starter, or piglet diets is improved palatability and measurable FCR improvement at 2-5% inclusion rates. The naturally acidic pH of 5-6 acts as a preservative during transit and enhances feed attractiveness for marine species.
Protein: 40% minimum. TVBN: 350 mg maximum. Packed in 200-litre open-top drums.
The bioactive fractions responsible for UGF activity are heat-sensitive. Our stickwater is concentrated under vacuum evaporation at reduced temperature specifically to preserve them. A fish soluble paste concentrated at high temperature loses the biological activity that justifies its inclusion rate in the formulation.
The pH of 5-6 is not an additive - it is a product of the concentration process itself. It functions as a natural preservative during transit and storage, eliminating the need for synthetic acidulants. In shrimp feeds it improves palatability by replicating the acidic amino acid signal associated with fresh prey.
High Vitamin B12 Concentration
High Vitamin B12 Concentration
Fish soluble paste contains vitamin B12 at concentrations that exceed most other feed ingredients. B12 is essential for nervous system development in juvenile animals and for red blood cell production. It cannot be synthesised by animals and must be supplied through diet. Fish solubles are one of the most cost-effective B12 carriers available in feed formulation.
